What is IPMA?
IPMA (International Project Management Association) is a multinational federation of project managers. One of its main functions includes promotion of awareness of project management as a profession which is characterized by a global scope of activity, standards, knowledge and abilities. IPMA groups projects managers across all fields. IPMA issues ICB (the IPMA Competence Baseline) – a standard of project management competencies or in other words a standard of a project leader and project team’s professional behaviour. The Czech national member association is the Project Management Association (SPŘ), which is an association of companies and individuals engaging in project management. Besides other things SPŘ translates and publishes the National Standard of Project Management Competencies which represents the localization adjustment of ICB for the Czech Republic.
